Product Review: Vertical Lures Jig X
We all know jigs are big bass bait. So one must ask how can the jig be made better, well the answer comes from Vertical Lures, a small up and coming company in the fishing industry based in Pickens, SC. Vertical Lures’ unique behind the head tie makes the Jig X the ultimate weedless jig. I have thrown many jigs into cover just to loose them or bring in seemingly half the grass in the lake. With the behind the head tie, I have thrown the Jig X in places I would never think of throwing them, and the amount of grass I bring in well let’s just say most of it is still in the lake. And for those rock piles there is the newly introduced football head Jig X. Combine this with the Chunk X trailer, and the Chunk X sling designed to keep a trailer “locked” onto the jig you have a combination that those big bass are going to have a hard time ignoring. Vertical Lures also has a tube the Tube X, when rigged Texas style is hard to beat. They are also coming out with a creature bait the Creature X, in late spring 2008. If you don’t throw a jig you should, and I found the Jig X is a hard jig to beat when it come to heavy cover. But you don’t have to take my word for it, visit their website www.verticallures.com to see all the weights, and colors they offer, buy you some and try them for yourself
