 Kit Critchlow, owner and operator of vom Desert Dancer, takes a great deal of pride and satisfaction in producing what many consider some of the finest hunting companions available.  As a registered VDD (Verein Deutsch Drahthaar) Kennel, the focus of Kit’s breeding program is on five basic traits: 

1. Temperament
2. Hunting/Prey Drive
3. Nose – Scenting abilities
4. Conformation
5. JGHV testing and evaluation which in many ways proves much more demanding than governing bodies in United States.

When it comes to accomplishments, Kit and the dogs of vom Desert Dancer have earned some very respectable achievements at the national level in the JGHV, VDD and NAVHDA as well as placements in local Arizona Pointing Dog Club Field Trials.  These things have prepared his dogs well for the many days Kit spends chasing Quail, Chukar, Pheasant and Grouse each year.
