Ethics

Whether you are out on a day trip or for a week-long camping trip. It is important to practice a low impact hiking and camping ethics. Here are a few suggestions:

1.       Stay on existing trails, cutting across a switch back can cause erosion and damage the trail.

2.       If you encounter horseback riders, step of the trail and stand quietly. Any sudden moves can frighten livestock.

3.        Remember to bury any human waste at least 6 inches.

4.       Pack out all trash (not all trash will burn)

5.        Tie horses to a picket line-tying a horse to a tree can cause damage to it.

6.        Erase all signs of your presence even the fire ring

7.        And by all means have fun and take lots of pictures (send AZOD some too)
